Asking
how much a piece of artwork is, as one cartoonist put it, "like
asking how long a string is. It depends on the string." This
means - it depends on your usage of the work you contract for.
Artwork
adds VALUE to your product, service, business, etc. Therefore,
you are paying for the LICENSING to use the artwork you are
commissioning.
“Cartoons look
as though they are easy to create because they are relatively simple
in style, but in fact creating cartoons is a highly demanding
specialization that usually requires a long apprenticeship.” –

have what I'm looking for, furniture, autos, services ... hmmm .....
Negotiation*.
Every once in a great while a business opportunity will present
itself that is a win/win situation for both parties. If you
can show me your business and marketing plan and present a
convincing opportunity, we may have a deal.
*Keep in mind that I, like you, have
bills to pay, and not all offers can/will be accepted. Think of
win/win propositions whether you are negotiating with me or anyone
else. (As much as I'd like to, I do not work for free)
